Home Again, Home Again From CHA!

What a FUN week we had in Anaheim! The show was terrific, the classes were terrific - the people were terrific! It's always good to be home though!

This had to be the show where both Christina and I were totally in the groove because we got more accomplished and purchased just the BEST product ever for the ScrapLovers store. You all will love every single item that comes through the warehouse doors! I cannot wait for you to see it all and then, in turn, to see what you make with it all.

For a complete list of what is coming and when to expect it, you can read more on th
e WHAT'S COMING thread in the forums.

It just wouldn't be a trade show without both of us falling in love with the new product from Maya Road! Carolyn and Deb simply out-do themselves each and every time and this show was no different - in fact, they outdid their normal selves! The new velvet ribbons, crushed velvet and double-stitched ribbons are incredible. Personally, I will be knocking down anyone who stands in my way when the Celtic knot chipboard arrives in the store so LOOK OUT! ALL of their new line is incredible. One of the most talked about new manufacturers at the show was Tinkering Ink. Three of their lines really caught our eye: Posh, which is more of a bright, spring line; Gibson, more of a masculine or summery line and the Noir Blanc line which is, of course, Black and White. The very best and innovative part of their line is their terrific embellishments which feature a distinct 3-D aspect to them. They are absolutely fabulous!

Some of our other favorites include:
  • Heidi Swapp: New Ribbons on the Spool, her new masks and the large page corners
  • Heidi Grace: Amazing new paper collections and awesome embellishments to coordinate
  • Amy Butler for K&Co: she creates stunning textiles and they have translated beautifully over to these papers and coordinating embellishments, right down to the upholstered brads!
  • Strano Ribbons: Their new ribbon stiffy and new wide ribbons will truly revolutionize the way you use ribbons, even Martha Stewart was impressed!
  • Elsie!: It is very hard for me to type this but this line is very good, very fresh, very exciting. I believe when ki memories and Elsie came together it was one of the greatest matches ever and it shows in this line!
  • Trace Industries: Not only do they have marvelous chipboard but they introduced some very innovative papers at this show!
  • ScraPerfect: Her embossing pouch REALLY is all that and more! We were sold before we ever walked into the booth but we walked out true believers!
  • Doodlebug: This company just makes you HAPPY walking into their booth with all their bright colors and designs. Their Alterable Houses are a terrific little project to make and the stamps are adorable!
  • Technique Tuesday: TT always has marvelous stamps but at this show we were WOWed by the true 12x12 Tiles that come 2 in a package. The pages their team created with these were stunning and we cannot wait to work these ourselves!
  • and finally, although by far this is not ALL....
  • My Mind's Eye: Their new rough and alterable chipboard is just too too cool! To be able to simply run an ink pad over those letters and get amazing, incredible results is too fantastic for words. This is a must-have item from the show!

So be watching for these items and so many, many more to come starting in the next few weeks at ScrapLovers!

Be sure to leave us comment on what YOUR favorite items were from the store OR if there is something that you would like to know more about. We always appreciate your feedback!

Congratulations to Sweetheart Tracey!

We are SO proud and excited to announce that our very own Sweetheart, Tracey T., had her gorgeous vase selected as an honorable mention in the Prima "Fall in Love with Prima Wood" contest. There were literally hundreds (thousands?) of entries into this contest which were all gorgeous. Of course we are quite partial to Tracey's lovely piece!

Check out Tracey's piece in her SCRAPLOVER'S gallery and tell her how proud you are of her today!

Getting Ready for CHA

Christina and I are getting the final details together for Winter-CHA. I will fly out on Thursday and meet up with her in San Jose and we will make a road trip together down to Anaheim for the show.

There have been so many sneak peeks already that we feel we have seen a lot of what the manufacturers are offering or at least we have a good idea of what they have to show. If you haven't checked out the CHA SNEAK PEEK FORUM at ScrapLovers lately, you really should do it soon. Every day, almost every hour it seems, there are new uploads of the very latest peeks at what will be at the show.

The layout above is from a new manufacturer Tinkering Ink and was created by Teresa White. I love the masculine feel of these papers, the colors are right in line with the fashion trend predictions for spring and the graphics are terrific for all types of styles. They are previewing other lines on their blog with more previews to come. I'm excited about what they have to offer and look forward to seeing these papers and embellishments in person!

Be sure to let us know what you think before we leave so that we can fill the store with all of your favorite lines and scrapbooking goodies.

CHA Sneak Peeks

I cannot believe it is already time for another show but here it is WINTER CHA time!! The
"Sneak Peeks" have been all over the web but I have to say, in all modesty, that ScrapLovers, has done an amazing job staying on top of it with a TON of images from different sources.

Already some top favorites are beginning surface. Here I've included the Honeydew Collection by Karen Russell and the some of the Big Metal Brads by Around the Block. I love and adore both of these.

Over the next few days we will feature more of our favorites here on the ScrapLovers' blog and when the show starts we will be updating the blog with links to images from the show floor.

In the meantime, be sure to check out ALL the peeks in the forum at ScrapLovers and let us know what your favorites are so we can be sure to stock them in the store! ScrapLovers CHA Sneak Peeks
